A midlands councillor was told to "get out of the chamber" after clashing with one of her colleagues.
Fine Gael reps Thomasina Connell and Aisling Moran got into a heated argument, resulting in the latest meeting of Laois County Council being suspended for 15 minutes.
As councillors approved plans to dispose of three plots of lands in Laois, Aisling Moran asked why the council were giving land away.
When told to take the issue up the Finance Director and not delay the meeting by Thomasina Connell, Councillor Moran then accused the Cathaoirleach of not allowing her to speak on public funds.
Councillor Connell then told her party colleague to 'respect the chair, or get out of the chamber.'
As the meeting continued, Councillor Moran again claimed she was 'blocked' every time she asked questions about money.
The Fine Gael rep also alleged she was 'muted several times' during the last meeting of Laois County Council, particularly by
Councillor Connell.
The Cathaoirleach then asked Councillor Moran to take her comments back, before suspending the meeting for 15 minutes.
