The candidates already sit in the Dáil and the Seanad, respectively.
Fine Gael has selected its candidates in Longford Westmeath for the General Election.
Enterprise Minister Peter Burke and Senator Micheál Carrigy were chosen by voters at a convention held last night in the Radisson Blue Hotel in Athlone.
Minister Burke was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 2016, and has since served as a Junior Minister in both European Affairs and Local Government and Planning.
Senator Carrigy was elected to the Seanad in 2020, and is currently Fine Gael's spokesperson on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sports and Media.
The selections bring the number of candidates chosen to contest the General Election for Fine Gael to five.
