The Laois woman is now working as a parliamentary assistant for the Independent TD.
Former Kildare South Sinn Fein TD, Patricia Ryan is now working as a parliamentary assistant for Laois Deputy, Brian Stanley.
Both left Sinn Fein over the course of 2024 in relatively acrimonious circumstances.
Ms. Ryan, who topped the general election poll while on holiday in 2020, said she felt undermined by the party.
Sinn Féin says there were 'no formal complaints' made to the party HQ regarding the issues raised by Patricia Ryan.
Deputy Stanley says Ms. Ryan, who is from Ballybrittas, is a welcome addition to his team:
