The former TD lost his Dáil seat in 2020.
A former midlands TD and Junior Minister is eyeing a return to politics.
Former Independent Longford Westmeath Deputy Kevin 'Boxer' Moran lost his Dáil seat in 2020, but has confirmed he intends to run in the next General Election.
He had hoped to rejuvenate his political career by replacing his son Jamie as a member of Westmeath County Council last year, but that seat was instead given to Paul Hogan.
In a statement at that time, Boxer claimed Fianna Fáil were determined to block his return to the Council.
