Ken Smollen's Funeral Mass takes place at the Church of the Assumption this morning.
Former Offaly County Councillor Ken Smollen will be laid to rest this morning.
The Clara man passed away on Friday afternoon after a battle with illness.
He announced last September he was stepping away from the local authority due to a cancer diagnosis.
Mr Smollen's Funeral Mass is at 10am in the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore followed by his burial in the Monastery Cemetery, Clara.
He's survived by his wife Sandy, and daughters Keira and Leonie.
