Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen's Portrait To Go On Display

The last portrait erected in the Dail was of ex-Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

Forrmer Taoiseach Brian Cowen's portrait's to finally go on display, 11 years after leaving office.

The painting will be put up in Leinster House in September, but is being exhibited in the Royal Hibernian Academy from tomorrow.

The Office of Public Works paid a commmission fee of €12,000 for the Offaly man's portrait, according to the Irish Independent.
