A number of schools in the midlands are in the running to win €25,000.
Athlone Community College; St. Joseph's, Athlone; Tullamore College; and Killina Presentation Secondary School all came through regional qualifiers in the Money Smarts Challenge.
The event is being run by Bank of Ireland, in a bid to increase financial awareness among teenagers.
The Grand Final will take place in Citywest, Dublin in April - where the 18 regional winners will compete for the top prize.
