The incident took place on Monday evening in Birr.
Gardai are appealing for information after a car was stolen in Offaly.
A grey Passat car was taken in the early hours of Monday morning from Ashbrook Drive in Birr.
There was also an an attempted break in into another car in Macregol Park shortly afterwards.
A white Volvo, which drove into the area around 11 pm on Monday was believed to possibly be in convoy with the Passat, before heading towards Nenagh, where a number of incidents also took place.
Anyone with any doorbell CCTV or dashcam footage from 11 pm to 3 am on June 9th is asked to contact Birr Garda Station at 057 916 9710.
