A man was assaulted at the door of the busy store yesterday evening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an assault at a midlands supermarket last night.
A man in his 30s was attacked by two men with axe at Tesco in Tullamore at about 8.30.
He was taken to Tullamore Regional Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and gardaí say they don't have a definite line of enquiry.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or has dash-cam footage is asked to contact gardaí.
