Gardaí are appealing for dash cam footage after a pedestrian was struck by a truck in Laois.
The incident happened in Abbeyleix on Friday afternoon.
A man, aged in his 70s, was crossing the Main Street in Abbeyleix between traffic when hit by a truck and caught underneath the vehicle, at about 3.20pm on Friday.
Emergency services attended the scene and fire brigade personnel released the pedestrian.
He was treated by paramedics, before being airlifted to St. James' Hospital in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí in Laois are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage in the area at the time to contact them.
