A car was set alight in the Charleville Parade area of Tullamore at around 2 o'clock this morning.
A number of incidents of criminal damage were also reported.
One man in his 20s has been arrested and is currently detained in Tullamore Garda Station.
Anyone who was in the area between 1.30 and 2.30 this morning is asked to contact gardaí.
