The incident took place between Saturday night and Monday morning.
Gardaí are investigating the burglary of an Offaly shop.
The incident occured in a Menswear store on the square in Edenderry between 10pm on Saturday night and 9am on Monday morning.
Around €800 in cash was stolen from the premises.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly those with camera or dashcam footage, to get in touch with investigating officers.
