The little boy passed away yesterday.
Gardaí are investigating the death of a 6 year old boy following a tragic accident at a hotel swimming pool in Offaly.
The boy's believed to have got into difficulty at a pool in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Sunday.
The little boy was rushed to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore on Sunday evening but was later transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin where he died yesterday.
The Health and Safety Authority have launched an investigation.
The management of the hotel in Tullamore have extended their sympathy to the boys family.
