Three separate incidents occurred yesterday morning.

Bogus callers have appeared at the homes of elderly or vulnerable people in Laois in three separate incidents.

They occurred in the Ballyroan and Ballybrittas areas yesterday morning.

Gardaí in the county are asking people to have a conversation about bogus callers with the elderly and vulnerable in their communities.

They've also issued a reminder that Gardaí will not call to see if your money is counterfeit, and will not take it from you.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious is being urged to contact their local Garda Station.
