Gardaí Need To Clamp Down On Speeding In Rural Westmeath Towns

A Meath West candidate is highlighting the issue ahead of the election.

A Fine Gael general election candidate says he's has been speaking with Garda Commissioner Drew Harris over drivers speeding in rural Westmeath towns.

Noel French, who's running in Meath West, says he also highlighted the need for a clamp down on speeding in the county with the local superintendent. 

2,247 motorists in the Lake county received penalty points for speeding in 2019.
