Gardai have made a seizure of over €2 million worth of cannabis in Westmeath.
The search was carried out at two houses in Ballynagore on New Year's Eve, with growhouses discovered on the premises.
Plants were seized with an estimated value of €500,000 with cannabis herb from the two properties also seized at a value of €1.75 million.
The operation was carried out by Gardaí from the Westmeath Community Engagement Area, Divisional Drugs Unit, Mullingar Crime Unit and the Regional Support Unit.
The seized drugs have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
