A Garda operation will be in place until 7am on Tuesday morning.
Motorists can expect an increased Garda presence on the roads, as part of an operation taking place throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.
Gardaí will be targeting traffic offences such as not wearing a seatbelt, drink and drug- driving and speeding in the operation, which is in place until 7am on Tuesday,
77 people have died on Irish roads so far this year, 13 more than this time last year.
