Gardaí To Discuss By-Laws To Tackle Sulky Racing Issue In Laois

There's been four known accidents in the last month alone.

Laois County Council will meet with Gardaí in the coming weeks to discuss making changes to the bye-laws surrounding sulky racing. 

The issue was raised earlier this month by Fine Gael rep Aisling Moran.

There's been four accidents in the last four weeks alone, causing jurisdictional issues for Gardaí around the Laois/Carlow border. 

Cllr Moran is welcoming the progress but says waiting for another month to solve the problem isn't ideal:
