Government Not Planning To Ban Solid Fuels, Says Midlands Junior Minister

She says the new campaign is about looking at the best, available alternatives.

New government proposals are aimed at improving air quality, not banning solid fuels.

That's according to Junior Agriculture Minister, Offaly's Pippa Hackett, after the launch of the public consultation on the matter.

A number of government TDs have voiced the opposition to any ban on fuel products and the impact it could have on those in rural areas.
