A Laois TD is calling on two government offices to come together to resolve the ongoing row about the Public Services Card.
A report by Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon found that there's no legal basis for the use of the public services card outside of welfare.
The Government is rejecting this finding and are considering bringing the case to court to settle the issue.
