Group Fined For Travelling 100km To Laois Tourist Site

Gardaí say the tourists travelled to shops and sites.

A number of people have been fined after travelling 100 kilometres to visit a tourist attraction in Laois.

Portlaoise Gardaí on patrol found the group at the Rock of Dunamaise.

Gardaí say the tourists also intended to visit shops and other sites.

Over 260 fixed charge notices have been issued by gardaí in the midlands for non-essential travel during the pandemic.
