Health Warnings Now Being Reconsidered For Alcohol Products

Enterprise Minister Peter Burke says our competitiveness on the market must be maintained.

The government says it's now reconsidering introducing health warnings on alcohol products. 

The move could be necessary following the introduction of US trade tariffs- as the drinks industry is under increased pressure.

The government had been given the green light from the European Commission to put the labels on alcohol in a bid to reduce alcohol consumption.
