The Housing Finance Agency is boasting a 40% year on year increase in the amount of money it's lending to approved housing bodies.
The group's annual report for 2024 shows its financing has delivered just over 1900 homes through housing bodies nationally, and 258 in the midlands.
HFA loan financing was behind 141 new homes in Laois last year, 65 in Offaly, and 52 in Westmeath.
