The panel will meet in Athlone today to consider his sacking from Wilson's Hospital School.
The High Court has rejected an application by Enoch Burke to stop a disciplinary appeals panel from meeting today to consider his dismissal from a Westmeath school.
Mr. Burke appeared before the court yesterday.
His attempt to stop this morning’s disciplinary appeals panel from going ahead has been rejected following a lengthy High Court hearing yesterday.
Just after 7pm last night, Mr Justice Micheál O’Connell said he was not satisfied that Mr Burke had made an arguable case for an injunction.
He also said the application came too late, noting it could have been brought well before the eve of the hearing.
The appeals panel is due to meet in Athlone this morning after several delays.
It will consider whether Mr Burke’s dismissal for gross misconduct in January 2023 should stand.
His sacking cannot be confirmed unless the panel recommends upholding that decision.
