A Westmeath Councillor is taking aim at a State-sponsored housing agency after he says he was told to leave a residents meeting.
Athlone rep Aengus O'Rourke says the Respond Housing Association told him he wasn't welcome at a meeting of Sarsfield Square residents in the town.
The group are responsible for 16 properties in the area, four of which have been lying vacant for years, while the remaining 12 are in a poor condition according to the Fianna Fail Councillor.
His attendance was eventually permitted after residents insisted.
