Midlands TD's are both bringing attention to ongoing staffing shortages in Mullingar.

Midlands TD's are joining forces seeking increased investment in the neurology service at a Midlands hospital.

Longford Westmeath Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke and Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Tony McCormack are calling out ongoing staffing shortages and rising demand at The Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

There's over 160 patients currently waiting for neurology care, while specialist services in the midlands remain under resourced.

Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill said the issue is a matter for the HSE and confirmed it would respond directly to the deputies.
