The Dail's Regional Independent Group will meet the Ministers for Finance and Public Expenditure today to set out their wish-list for next months budget.
The group which includes Roscommon Galway TD Denis Naughten, Kildare South TD Cathal Berry and Meath West TD Peadar Toibin will be seeking free public transport for students, the 20% cut to public transport fares being applied to private operators, zero percent loans for retrofitting homes and an extension of the vacant homes tax to rural Ireland.
The group says its measures will boost regional development.
