A group of 175 were attempting to reach Gaza.

It's claimed six Irish nationals have been detained by Israeli forces after a global aid flotilla was intercepted.

They were among a group of over 175 activists taken from the Sumud Flotilla which was attempting to reach Gaza.

The Israeli Defence Force says they are now 'making their way peacefully' to Israel on board a military vessel.

Moate's Louise McCormack is among the Irish citizens in the flotilla but has been able to evade the IDF.
