Irish Rural Link have set out priorities for the Budget.
Irish Rural Link is seeking the largest-ever investment in rural transport, calling for increased and multi-annual funding for TFI Local Link.
Some of Irish Rural Link’s Budget 2027 priorities include increased Rural Transport Programme investment, a €15 weekly rise in core social welfare payments, and a €10 million capital and resilience package, alongside increased core funding.
They're also looking for access to affordable finance, grid connectivity, and trusted intermediaries to empower rural communities to develop and own renewable energy projects.
