The Jack & Jill Foundation annual hill climbing challenge takes place this month.
People in the midlands are being asked to support local and donate local by going 'Up the Hill for Jack & Jill' this month.
Funds raised will go towards home nursing care for children with highly complex, life-limiting conditions, including 20 children in Westmeath, Laois and Offaly.
The Jack & Jill Foundation is encouraging people to register online for the annual hill climbing challenge - but this year, take it on within their 5k or even the stairs at home or work.
Liaison nurse for Laois Offaly, Mary Joe Guilfoyle says it's aimed at filling the 200,000 euro gap in funding the charity has suffered in 2020:
