An event aimed at helping older people stay healthy was held in Laois yesterday.
Laois' Age Friendly Ambassador says her moto is "get up, get out and be active".
Anna May McHugh, who is also the Managing Director of the National Ploughing Championships, was a keynote speaker at a Portlaoise event focusing on staying healthy in older age.
The 'Ask the Experts Health Panel' featured accessible heath information from the likes of the Irish Heart Foundation, Hidden Hearing and the HSE.
Ms McHugh says it's good to share how you are feeling with your family.
