The proposal by the National Public Health Emergency Team is that both counties will be removed from the localised restrictions however Kildare will remain.
The Laois Offaly Fine Gael TD confirmed he spoke to the Health Minister Stephen Donnelly on a number of occasions this week, he also says he spoke with the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar and the office of Dr. Colm Henry regarding the restrictions in Laois and Offaly.
