Laois' ASTI President Says Some Members Fear Risking Their Family's Future

The union wants those who are due to have a baby to be allowed to work from home.

The ASTI says pregnant teachers are being asked to return to school despite being "terrified". 

The union wants those who are due to have a baby to be allowed to work from home, as was the case before the summer holidays. 

Pregnant teachers are concerned about having to spend time in a classroom with unvaccinated students, particularly because of the delta variant.
