The company has had a presence since 1980.
An ingrained belief in co-operation is behind the idea of a Laois company's rebranding.
FRS, which also employs around 35 people in the county and runs an office at The Cube in Portlaoise, has changed its name to FRS Co-Op.
Group CEO, Colin Donnery, says since the company was founded in 1980, co-operation has been central to everything they do:
"We’ve always had deep roots in our local communities, in Laois and anywhere else that we are active.
We know that we grow better together, a belief that is ingrained in everything we do.
That is why we wanted the co-op aspect of our business to be more prominent in our new branding."
Mr. Donnery says the company will also continue to provide the services it has done up until now, including those offered at FRS Farm Services, FRS Fencing, and Turas Nua:
"This is an exciting time for FRS Co-Op in Laois and beyond as we look to build on the considerable achievements we’ve made over the last 40+ years, knowing that our strength has always been the relationships and connections we’ve made in Laois and beyond.
We know we can get more done by working together and growing together with our colleagues, our customers and our communities in Laois and across Ireland. It’s what we’ve always done. It’s the FRS Co-Op way."
