Laois Community Pulls Out All The Stops To Celebrate Newest Centenarian

She said it was the best day of her life.

One community in Laois pulled out all the stops to celebrate its newest centenarian.

Hannah Finane turned 100 this week and received rosary beads blessed by the Pope, along with a phonecall from Daniel O'Donnell.

Residents of Rathdowney also held a special mass and a parade past her house. 

Despite having to cocoon, her son Billy says she is delighted by all the fuss:
