Children waiting for a referral for occupational therapy services in the Midlands is like a lottery.
That's the view of Borris In Ossory and Mountmellick Councillor Conor Bergin, who is pressuring the local authority to contact Minister for Children Norma Foley about speeding up waiting list times.
The Fine Gael rep is raising the issue after hearing cases across the county where children are waiting up to 6 years from the time of referral, with some turning 18 and phasing out of services.
