Laois County Council Planning Service Could Be 100% Digital By 2021

So far this year, the local authority has received 332 applications.

Laois County Council's planning service could be entirely online by the end of this year.  

It comes as planning applications in the county have increased by 63 per cent on last year and are close to 2019 levels. 

So far this year, the local authority has received 332 applications, with a refusal rate of just over 3 per cent.

Almost a third of requests were deemed invalid and returned. 

Currently, planning meetings are happening remotely and applicants are viewing their files online.
