She works in the construction industry down under.

A Laois electrician working in Australia is fighting back against a series of sexist comments made by online trolls.

An image of Portlaosie's Rachael Ryan on site was shared to promote diversity within the construction industry down under.

However, the comments section was soon filled with people questioning her presence and asking for her job to be given to an Australian citizen.

The 28 year old is assuring any women considering a career in the sector that this doesn't represent day-to-day life.

She's been speaking to Will O'Callaghan on the Midlands Today Show:
