The news comes after a special council meeting today.
Laois County Council have failed to nominate a candidate for the presidential election.
It's after Fianna Fail and Fine Gael voted against the candidacy of business man Gareth Sheridan.
Mr Sheridan had secured the backing of all independent councillors along with that of Labour's Marie Tuohy which fell short of the required votes to nominate.
Roscommon County Council won't be nominating a presidential candidate either.
Westmeath reps are currently considering who to back with a decision due this afternoon or this evening.
Earlier, Kerry County Council has voted to nominate Mr Sheridan.
Councillor's in Offaly will hold their meeting on Monday.
