The organisers are encouraging as many people as possible to come along.
The first ever Laois Pride parade is "momentous" for the county.
That's according to the Midlands LGBT+ Project, which is organising the event for this September, jam-packed with music, face painting, and a parade for all the family.
Organisers are hoping as many people as possible will come along to support the LGBT+ community in Portlaoise on September 17th.
Co-Ordinator Christina Fitzharris hopes the parade will inspire Laois to continue to be open and inclusive:
