A shop in Portlaoise was broken into and a number of items were taken at around 2.30am yesterday.
Gardaí say the male suspect was wearing a blue jacket, black pants and gloves.
A sum of money was also taken from a black Volkswagon at Trigoue Manor between 8pm on Saturday and 6pm yesterday evening.
Anyone with any information in relation to either incident is being asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station.
