Laois Heritage Society is kicking off its spring sessions of talks this evening with a focus on all things folklore.
Shanahoe's Tony Delaney is delivering the opening lecture, and will discuss a wide range of topics from Fintan of Clonenagh to fairies and banshees.
The event kicks off at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise at 8pm.
Mr Delaney also runs his own Youtube channel focusing on video essay on the local history of the county.
