The latest Geowox report prices are surging across the region.
Laois is now the county with the highest house prices in the region.
It's also recorded the most house sales according to the Geowox Housing Report for the first quarter of this year.
In Laois, a house will now set you back by around €300,000, a 22.4% increase from the first quarter of last year.
While in Westmeath, that price is now at €290,000 from €248,000, an increase of 16.9%.
The smallest increase is recorded in Offaly, a 13.4% increase up to €270,000.
The report also looks at house prices in main towns across the country, with Portlaoise being the most expensive town to buy a house in the Midlands.
It's gone up by over 30% to €328,000 from €250,000 last year.
Prices in Mullingar now sit at €303,000, up by 7.9%.
While Tullamore has the smallest increase of 4.6% up to €250k.
Laois still had the highest amount of sales in Q1 of 2025 at 227, a 16.4% increase.
Offaly went down by that same amount to 177 and Westmeath sits at 148 sales, up by just over 8%.
