Laois Local Property Tax To Remain Unchanged For The Year Ahead

The majority of Laois councillors voted against an increase this morning.

The Local Property Tax will remain unchanged in Laois for the year ahead.

County councillors voted to maintain the existing rate of 10 per cent at a meeting today.

The local authority executive had proposed increasing the tax by 3 per cent, which would equate to 150,000, to help fund public services, given the drop in revenue over the last year due to Covid-19.
