Joe Doheny faces money laundering charges.
A Laois man is alleged to have acted as a money mule without knowing it was happening, according to the Irish Independent.
25 year old Joe Doheny from Old Forge Crescent, in Mountrath is charged with money laundering - possession of proceeds of criminal conduct - on dates from September 3rd to the 12th in 2021.
Gardaí say payments of €6,000 and €5,000 were transferred to Mr Doheny's bank account with withdrawals being made by somebody else.
They told Blanchardstown District Court they believe he was a money mule with "no direct knowledge of what was happening."
The case is adjourned with Mr Doheny remanded on bail until June 25th when he will enter his plea.
