The Justice Minister has dismissed suggestions that hundreds of cars full of tourists were arriving at ferry ports last week.
Laois Offaly Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan says the issue is being monitored and that some cars have had to be turned back.
But he's been reassured by Gardai that ports aren't being overwhelmed:
