Laois Parents To Hold Public Meeting On Shortage of Special Needs School Places

20 parents have organised the meeting which is set to take place in Portlaoise this evening.

"We just want our children to have the same opportunities other people have"

That's the call from Laois parents organising a public meeting this evening to highlight the chronic shortages of special educational needs school places for their children.

20 parents are behind the event which is taking place at the Portlaoise Parish Centre this evening at 6.30pm.

Elected representatives and candidates for the forthcoming general election have been invited to attend.
