New figures from the CSO reveal the level of uptake among young children.
Mullingar has the lowest number of 5 to 11 year olds who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the midlands.
The Central Statistics Office has released the vaccination rate for each Local Electoral Area in the region to end of July.
The Mullingar area ranks at the bottom with 18%, while in contrast, Graiguecullen-Portarlington has the highest uptake in the midlands, with a quarter of 5 to 11 year olds fully inoculated.
The uptake rate in the remaining LEAs ranges from 18% to 21%
