Laois River Needs Major Work To Address Flooding Issues

Residents of a nearby town had to be evacuated during a flood in 2017.

A Laois river needs major works to prevent it from flooding. 

That's according to Cllr Paddy Bracken, who also says cleaning needs to be carried out where the Owenass meets the Barrow as a priority. 

Residents in Mountmellick had to be evacuated from their homes when the river burst its banks in November 2017.
