A Laois senator is set to be the main speaker at Sinn Fein's Easter 1916 Commemoration in the county.
The event will take place in Errill this Sunday as the community pays tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for Irish freedom.
This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Rising.
Maria McCormack will be on the main stage this Sunday for the occasion which gets underway at 2:00pm from Errill Church.
